20 Lessons that I learnt in my 20s

So I have been writing, pretty continuously, just not here on the blog but in a journal for a long time now. A lot of those words are compressed here summarized as few learnings on the way I have had... (this started as an exercise which someone asked, but was also a follow up summary to all the pages of emotions that I have experienced & put down in writing over the years).

1. Never Stop Learning. Its an ongoing process. Read, read a lot.
2. Networking is important. Connect with people everywhere.
3. Keep your wits around. Always.
4. Never lose humor. Smile, laugh - a lot.
5. Find one mentor. If not found one, read a lot and gain knowledge & guidance.
6. Learn to forgive - people and yourself too.
7. Never stop caring and fighting for yourself. If you yourself will not, no one else will.
8. Be thankful for whatever you have, whatever you have become, for your parents, for people around you. There's a higher power always looking out for you.
9. Every one in life is important and they come in life for a reason. Learn from them, however small the duration.
10. Run for your passion, define goals from very beginning. Work on it everyday.
11. Prioritization and Procrastination depend on the result that you are running for.
12. Money will come. Focus on honest work.
13. Teams matter. People matter. Love, care and groom them.
14. Work to become a better person - personally, professionally, emotionally, financially. Aim higher than you are right no, grow - maintain - and don't go down.
15. Pick some physical exercise, any sport. Exercise regularly, be fit.
16. Never close down on any opportunity. At least weigh it before rejecting or moving on.
17. You can not be successful in something which is not your goal. Learn when to part ways. Applies to relationships, jobs too.
18. Give back to the society - in whichever way.
19. Always stand up for a right cause. Don't compromise.
20. Ignore people who try to malign you or pull you down. They don't matter. But do not shake even if there are not too many people openly appreciating you, they will always be looking out for your next move.

Maybe few of these things would resonate with you, or maybe not.. Its a journey, to each his own...

Cheers...
- A
